A United Kingdom mobile marketing organization, the XS2TheWorld international has stepped into the Nigeria Information and Communication Technology (ICT) market as it aims to provide its services for the development of the nation’s telecom sector.
The organization which is a Mobile Marketing specialist and consultant, has introduced a new mobile service known as “Mobile Marketing” in Nigeria. The company enables brands, advertising and media agencies to distribute rich mobile applications to a relevant audience.
The service was introduced by Chief Executive Officer and Founder, XS2TheWorld, Sander Munsterman at a press parley in Lagos . He said that it Nigeria being the most developed nation of Africa, had great potential for mobile services and mobile marketing.
“Today a critical combination of factors is changing the mobile landscape from the falling cost of mobile tariffs, improved infrastructure providing greater speed and connectivity to advanced full-colored devices,”he said. He added that these very factors were responsible for global growth of mobile as a marketing channel that was slowly taking over the other traditional media.
“It is for this reason we have selected Africa and specifically Nigeria as an important place to do business. We wanted to see the power and potential mobile has in this region first-hand. We have spent, albeit only a short time here but we have been incredibly impressed by the interest and willingness of brands to consider mobile as a marketing channel.”
Nigeria boasts 70 million phone users from the total 4 billion phone users worldwide which make the Nigerian market most suitable place for introducing these kinds of services. There has been a great shift in the mobile culture in the African nations and this very potential of the emerging market is drawing the foreign telecom operators and service providers to the continent.
